Spring 300K

Registration opens Wednesday, March 24 at 12:01 AM (Pacific Time).

To register online: sign in to your SIR member account. Don't have one? Create one. It's free!
Once you login the Register button will be visible on the right side of this page (or bottom for mobile browsers).
  • Advance registration is required — we cannot accommodate same-day registration.
  • Membership: All riders must have current RUSA and SIR memberships (you'll enter your RUSA number during registration). Don't have a RUSA membership? Join here (or renew if your RUSA membership has expired). Allow a few days in advance for RUSA verification.
  • Online registration is open until Wednesday, April 21 at 11:59 PM (Pacific Time).
  • Ride cost is $25 paid online at the time of registration.
Registration has closed for this event. We cannot accommodate same-day registration at this time.

Due to continuing COVID-19 concerns, this will be a no-contact brevet with all online registration and no manned food controls. We encourage you to bring along your own food and drink, but the route does pass through numerous towns where there are opportunities to refuel. We will report separately on specific COVID-19 protocols, which will apply not only to this brevet but also to future rides for an indefinite time period.

The online registration includes signing a responsibility waiver (using the same SmartWaiver app used for RUSA Permanents). After registering, you'll receive a confirmation email containing a link to the SIR waiver. Complete and submit the waiver to finalize your registration.

With regard to the waiver, we're bound by RUSA insurance rules, which stipulate that riders confirm the email address entered on the waiver. Here's an overview of the process:
  1. Go to https://www.smartwaiver.com/v/rusaWASeattle, complete the waiver, including your email address. This link is also in your event registration email. To minimize confusion, please also use these for the appropriate fields in the waiver:
    • Designated Event: Spring 300K
    • Designated Event Date: April 24, 2021
  2. Once submitted, you will receive an email containing a link to verify the email address. Click on the link in the email. This will confirm the waiver.
  3. Once you've confirmed the waiver, you'll receive another email with a link to the completed waiver, and your registration will be finalized.
YOU MUST SUBMIT A COMPLETED WAIVER IN ORDER TO START THE RIDE

The 2021 Spring 300K features a glimpse of the ocean, a few less used roads, and slightly fewer hills than years past. Like any early season ride, the weather can be a challenge so prepare accordingly. It also has quite a few hills in the middle section so plan your food and time well.

The route once again leaves the large Starbucks at University Village, and travels north on the Interurban Trail most of the way to Everett, then down into the Snoqualmie Valley, to travel up to Marysville, and a cluster of hills before you descend into Stanwood. Some nice Lakes and ocean views on this stretch. From Stanwood, travel to Camino island and visit the beach at the state park. After a hilly spin around the island, return to Stanwood and an easy flat ride over to Arlington to catch the Centennial trail. From here it’s an easy glide into Snohomish, then up Broadway into Woodinville. In honor of the 520 bridge, we go down into Redmond, then over the hill to take the SR 520 trail across the bridge to return to University Village. We will collect your cards at U Village.

Parking is somewhat limited around University Village so check the signs where you park. There is excellent public transit service to the Link Station at Husky Station. With the COVID protocol, there is no on-route support. There should be cell service almost everywhere but no guarantees!

For all SIR events you must have front and rear lights, a reflective vest, and reflective ankle bands. Be prepared to show these to the ride organizer at the start. Your lights should be on during any low-light conditions (rain storms, night, tunnels).

You must read and agree to a waiver before beginning the ride, and you must turn in your signed brevet card at the end of the ride. If you will not finish, contact the organizer using the phone number on the card and cue sheet.
