Summer 200K (ACP)

About this event

If you see this on a desktop web browser (Chrome, Firefox, etc on a Mac, Windows, etc), then something is amiss. There's a strange interaction going on between some browsers (especially running in private/incognito mode or with enhanced tracking protection enabled) and Club Express. Until we devise a proper fix, you can work around this problem by:
  • Click here to open the SIR home page in a new tab.
  • Click the blue "Member Login" link in the upper right corner.
  • Enter your name and password, then click the big blue "Login" button.
  • Come back to this tab (you can close the home page tab if you wish) and refresh this page.
  • Hopefully all is well and you can continue with the waiver and registration process.
If you see this on a mobile device (phone or tablet) then you probably got here by clicking a link within Facebook. Our registration process does not work with the Facebook IOS integrated web browser. You'll need to open this page in a "real" (native) browser:
  • Click the ellipses (three dots) in the upper right corner of this window. You may need to scroll the page up and down slightly to encourage the ellipses to appear at the top of the screen.

    FB IOS App Menu Ellipses

  • Click "Open in external browser" in the popup menu.

FB IOS App Open In Browser Menu

  • Continue with the waiver and registration process.

Description

RUSA Route #3814, "Mount Baker Artist Point 200K"

Join us for a spectacular 200K ride from Bellingham through the North Cascades, featuring the iconic climb of the Mount Baker Highway to Artist Point. This is one of the best climbs in the Pacific Northwest and a personal favorite!

Beginning in the foothills and winding through dense forest before emerging into the alpine, this route showcases some of the most breathtaking scenery in the Pacific Northwest. Riders will tackle over 8,000 feet of climbing, culminating in unforgettable views of Mount Shuksan, glaciers, and the surrounding peaks before enjoying a thrilling descent and rolling roads back to the finish.

The main climb from Glacier (22 mile, 4400 ft) will be a steady 2 - 3 hours of climbing for most people before refueling at Artist’s Point for the trip back. Phil Gaimon’s record is 1 hour 14 min for those wanting to go faster but I recommend taking your time and enjoying the views.
