Magnuson Cafe & Brewery.
Newbs!
We have an online
interest list for riders who want to try their first RUSA Fleche. This list is open to riders new to randonneuring as well as other riders who have never participated in a Fleche. Enter your email, name, RUSA #, and location (city & state) and we'll connect you with teams as they form.
Details
Rules for Fleche events may be found here:
Rules for the Flèches-USA
Fleche teams can start any time between Thursday, 05/22 at 12:00 PM and Saturday, 05/24 at 10:00 AM. Teams must complete at least 360K within 24 hours, finishing at Magnuson Brewing no later than Sunday, 05/25 at 10:00 AM. The post-Fleche banquet at Magnuson Brewing will start on Sunday, 05/25 at 10:00 AM.
Team Captains
- Organize a team of three to five bikes (typically three to five riders, but can be more if tandems are included).
- If you're willing to take one or two newbs from the interest list, please take this into account when creating your team.
- Choose a catchy team name. This is often the most contentious step.
- Design a route. Tradtionally a point-to-point route is preferred. Loops are allowed, but out-and-backs are not.
- Email the organizer (Rose Cox) with the team name, RWGPS route link, initial roster, and number of newbs from the interest list you'd like to host. This information MUST be submitted no later than Thursday, May 15th.
No team entries will be accepted after Thursday, May 15th. Yes, we always say this, but we mean it this time. No exceptions.
Team Riders (Including Captains)
- Register via the usual process on this page, sign the wavier, pay the ride fee.
All team riders (including captains) must register, sign the waiver, and pay the ride fee by Thursday, May 15 at 12:00 Midnight (Pacific Time).
Finish
All routes must finish at Magnuson Cafe & Brewery.
