E-mail

Summer Populaire (RUSA). Leaving from south Seattle this is a scenic introduction to SIR hills and gravel.

Cue sheet posted

Ride Summary:
This ride starts from the beautiful surroundings of Genesee Park in Columbia City. The view of Lake Washington from this perspective feels like a glimpse back in time before the days of the white man. From there we travel familiar roads around the south end of Lake Washington to the east side.

If you've ever wondered what's at the top of that big hill just to the northeast of Coulon Park, well, now's your chance to find out - it may be a pleasant surprise for some of you. From there it's off to the beautiful May Valley Road, a short section of Issaquah-Hobart Road and a fun climb up Tiger Mountain Road SE to really get your legs and lungs working!
Then it's down to Hobart followed shortly thereafter by a bee line straight west to get us on to the Cedar River trail. Get ready gravel grinders, because you've got about 12 miles of it, including picturesque views along Lake Wilderness. From there, it's a straight shot north all the way back to Columbia City where we'll eat, drink and be merry at Super Six. Yeah, this ride is certainly not a Super Six, but it might help you get there. And as a bonus, it's free, so bring all your friends and introduce them to our wonderful world of Randonneuring!
