This is a one way ride from Bremerton to Klamath Falls via Crater Lake.
Here is Geoff's 2010 ride report
The ride will start at the ferry dock in Bremerton, Washington (a one hour ferry ride from Seattle) and heads southwest along the Hood Canal before linking up with US-101.
After a short stretch on 101, we will take the back roads to Montesano and then south from there to link up again with US-101. We then follow US-101 along the Washington and Oregon coasts, occasionally taking quieter back roads .
The first overnight will be at Pacific City, Oregon,. From there we continue south on US-101 & back roads to Reedsport, Oregon, where we head inland over OR-38 and some awesome back roads to the second overnight at Roseburg.
The final day is the climb up to Crater Lake (7,600 feet) via OR-138, a descent on OR-62, and then along the east side of Klamath Lake to the end at Klamath Falls, Oregon.
There is a Regional airport at Klamath Falls, so you can fly out to Portland or Seattle for connections elsewhere. Amtrak goes through Klamath Falls, so you can take a leisurely ride back to Seattle. Or ride your bike back – the route is also set up as a Permanent.
