Final Cue Sheet Posted.

An SIR favorite up to Baker Lake, the route goes from Redmond through
Darrington and Concrete, Sedro Wooley, and Granite Falls.

Ride Summary:

The 400km route will follow back roads from Redmond to Snohomish, where the route joins the Centennial Trail for the ride up to Arlington. From Arlington, the route goes east on SR-530 to Darrington where it meets up with the 1000km route and heads to Marblemount and then follows SR-20 to Concrete. At this point the route heads north to Baker Lake (a really nice road featured on one of our permanents). There is the little climb up Burbee Hill Road, but at least this year it shouldn't be freshly chip-sealed! After returning to SR-20 from Baker Lake, the route follows familiar roads to Sedro Wooley, Big Lake, Lake McMurray, Arlington, Granite Falls, and Monroe before returning to the start point in Redmond.

End Location: Mark's House
Directions:
The ride starts at Mark's house - 13543 160th Avenue NE, Redmond, WA 98052. (Please note that Google Maps has this wrong, so if you use Google Maps, search for the lat-long coordinates instead - 47.72245,-122.126856 or tell it that you want to go to 13543 160th Avenue NE, Woodinville, WA 98072).
If you are driving to the start, carpool if possible. Directions from I-405:
  1. Leave highway at exit 20 (NE 124th Street) and head east on NE 124th Street.
  2. Follow 124th Street eastbound for about 2-1/4 miles through commercial area and down hill
  3. Cross flat valley to light on other side of valley (don't let 124th Avenue, which you cross, confuse you)
  4. Turn left onto SR 202 (Woodinville-Redmond Road)
  5. Take first right onto 156th Avenue NE (Grousemont Estates sign)
  6. As you go up hill, road bends right and changes name to NE 132nd Street
  7. At top of hill, road turns left and changes name to 158th Avenue NE
  8. At the "T" intersection, turn right onto NE 133rd Street
  9. This road bends to the left and changes its name to 160th Avenue NE
  10. Follow this road across intersection with NE 135th Street and past Dead End sign
  11. Our house is the second on the left after the intersection (not counting the corner house).
Best choice for parking is to turn right (instead of continuing straight) at #10 above and park in the area with no houses. If you park in front of a house in the neighborhood, please ensure that your wheels are on the street, not the yard. When you see the OCD yards, you'll understand.
By bicycle, exit the Sammamish River Trail onto NE 124th Street heading east toward SR 202 and follow above from #4.
Entry Fee: 25$ SIR members, 35$ non-members. Please make all entry and
membership fees payable to SIR. Metals are only available from RUSA.
