WTS Ride 1 - Flood Alternative Route

DESCRIPTION: Due to massive flooding in the Tolt/Snohomish River Valleys we have had to change our route radically to stay up on the "ridges".  We will of course still enjoy the hot cider and cookies at Sammamish Valley Cycle courtesy of Chris and Mark Thomas of SVC at the end of the ride. Introduction to the Winter Training Series: An introduction to the Winter Training Series, including a bit of history, how the rides are conducted and rider expectations.

When: Saturday January 10, 2009

Time: Sign-in begins at 8:30am. 
            Ride announcements at 8:50am
            The peloton rolls at 9:00am sharp.

Distance: 40 miles

Where: Sammamish Valley Cycle (corner of 85th St and 164th Ave )
              8451 164th Ave NE
              Redmond, WA 98052

Directions to Start: At the east end of SR520, take the Redmond-Fall City Road/SR202
                                   Turn left onto SR202/Redmond Fall City Road/Redmond Way.
                                    Right on 164th Ave NE.
                                    The shop is at the corner of 85th Ave and 164th Ave.
 
                                    Please park at the Park and Ride at 83rd St and 161st Ave (2 blocks
                                    south, 2 blocks west), or QFC/Starbucks/Bella Bottega at 87th St and
                                    161st Ave (2 blocks north, 2 blocks west) - there isn't much
                                    parking available at the shop itself.
