Many thanks to SIR and the entire group of volunteers who made the Cascade ride such a wonderful event!!

I have never ridden so far so fast, and in more ways than I can count, my ride experience was made possible by the wonderful support I encountered along the route.  Thank you for holding my bike, filling my water bottles, making my sandwiches, scooping my ice cream, waking me up in the morning, stuffing my manky sock with ice and anticipating my every need, mile after mile.

You guys really rock!  I wonder how long it will take for me to realise that I have to open my own can of soda again!

Activity is starting to pick up here at the C1200 finish. Riders were treated to a cooler day and got most of the serious climbing out of the way early. It was windy through Lake Diablo, but there was plenty of shade most of the way in after Rockport.

Our data entry volunteers have caught up on their sleep and we expect they will keep the results up to date from here on in. More pictures from the finish are posted on Flickr, and we’ll be adding more as the night goes on.
