HOTELS

Hotel information for the start/finish and each overnight control is below. Please note that at some locations, the Cascade 1200 is occupying 100% of the facility’s rooms. At those locations we will try to list alternate hotels for riders (or support people) who are looking for lodging.

6/18 PACKWOOD, WA

Cowlitz River Lodge
13069 U.S. Hwy 12
Packwood, WA
1-888-305-2185
(360) 494-4444

Cascade 1200 is occupying 100% of the rooms at the facility. There are NO rooms available at these facilities for riders who prefer to make their own reservations, nor for rider support crew.  We have *exactly* the number of sleeping spaces as the number of entrants.  All riders should expect to be sharing a bed (queen or king) with another rider.   Rooms may have one or two beds, so you will be in a room with 1 or 3 other people.

We can NOT accommodate any requests or preferences for one or two bed rooms, so please do not ask.  Rooms will be assigned as riders arrive.   Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Packwood is a small community.  Motels in town fill up very quickly in summer with vacationers.  Please refer to this google listing of other motels in the vicinity and consider making a hotel reservation sooner rather than later.

6/19 MOSES LAKE, WA

Ameristay Inn & Suites
1157 N Stratford Rd
Moses Lake, WA 98837
509.764.7500

All riders should expect to be sharing a bed (queen or king) with another rider. Rooms may have one or two beds, so you will be in a room with 1 or 3 other people. We can NOT accommodate any requests or preferences for one or two bed rooms, so please do not ask. Rooms will be assigned as riders arrive. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

This is our largest facility and is the only location where riders can opt to purchase their own room. As of this writing (1/8/16) the hotel still had ample rooms available for the event date. We have not negotiated a group rate, but rooms can be had for ~$100 per night. Visit http://www.ameristayinn.com/ for more information.

There are no other hotels immediately adjacent to the Ameristay but there are numerous other options in Moses Lake within 2 miles. See this google listing for more options.

6/20 MAZAMA, WA

Mazama Country Inn
15 Country Road
Mazama, WA 98833
509-996-2681

Mazama Ranch House
10 Country Rd
Mazama WA, 98833
509-996-2040

In Mazama we will be fully occupying two small hotels which are located adjacent to one another. The rooms in these facilities are an eclectic mix of king, queen, full and single beds. Kings and queens will be two riders to a bed, while fulls and singles will be one rider per bed. Rooms may have one or two beds, so you will be in a room with 1, 2 or 3 other people. We can NOT accommodate any requests or preferences for one or two bed rooms or bed types, so please do not ask. Rooms will be assigned as riders arrive. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

There are NO rooms available at this facility for riders who prefer to make their own reservations, nor for rider support crew. Mazama is barely a wide spot in the road. There is only one other lodging option within 2 miles and it is expensive. See this google listing for more information. If you absolutely must have a support crew person at this location, that person should be in a self-contained vehicle (ie. a small camper van). It’s likely that there would be parking space available at one of the hotels for a camper van or two, but we can not assure that. RVs can not be accommodated.

And don’t forget, the finish banquet will be at this location in the morning on 6/22, so please stay in Mt. Vernon for the evening and plan on joining with the riders and volunteers for a fabulous celebration!
